BE NATURAL | DOCUMENTARY

Joining the team for Be Natural was a journey filled with unexpected challenges and rewarding discoveries. This documentary sheds light on the remarkable story of Alice Guy-Blaché, the pioneering female film director who was unjustly overlooked by history. When I came on board, I was greeted with a treasure trove of materials—photographs, newspaper and magazine articles, books, maps, film negatives, postcards, letters, interviews, and years' worth of design files. However, one of the biggest hurdles was the need to translate much of this content from French to English. Despite the daunting task ahead, I was inspired by the director's mission to give Alice Guy her rightful recognition for her groundbreaking achievements. This project challenged me in ways I never imagined, but the opportunity to contribute to such an important story made it incredibly rewarding.
